A Day at Mt. Hood

The mountain was gorgeous but it was COLD!  That didn't stop these three from having fun.  Mom wasn't quite as happy with it.  I did notice that I was the only one that didn't have warm snow pants and boots.  Derek needs to stop buying so much gear for himself and share the love.

Lilly was so cute in her little snow bunny outfit.  She had so many people stop to watch her....they loved her.

After the long day in the snow, we were all tired.  We kicked back and relaxed in the lodge.

It's My Party and I'll Cry if I Want To

Lilly's big day started out with a great breakfast.  Oatmeal.
The rest of the day was standard.  Running errands, taking Bridger to preschool, watching Bridger at Karate.  Fun, right?  After dinner we kicked off her party with a big bang.

Apparently she doesn't like party hats...

Or candles...

Or frosting on her fingers.

(We won't name names but one pesky little 4 year old did have something to do with all of the above.  Blowing a LOUD party horn every couple of minutes.  Lilly has never been one for loud noise.)

After tasting the frosting and getting a fork she did start to warm up to the whole idea.

She did eventually get used to the idea of frosting on her fingers....and face.

And finally we got a smile!!  And, yes, it's blurry.

Happy Birthday!!

Happy Birthday Lilly!

The first year of Lilly's life has gone by so quickly (a true sign of my getting older).  If I could choose one word to describe Lilly it would be JOY.  She is such a joy to be around.  She  brings so much happiness into our home.  She is so sweet and loving-  even strangers in the store comment on our happy and sweet she is.

We love you Lilly!  Happy Birthday.
