We stumbled on this little place called "A Walk on the Wild Side". We had planned to go to our favorite pumpkin patch but it was over crowded so we googled places near where we were. It was a non profit animal rescue. A little dumpy but we had some experiences that we would not be able to have anywhere else. I had hoped to put up a video but it is not working. Bridger was able to play with a bear cub. The cub was very interested in Bridger. We noticed it followed Bridger as he moved around. So Bridger started running back and forth next to the cage and the bear chased him. This went on for a good 20 minutes and drew quite a crowd. It was really fun and reminds me of another time this happened at the zoo with a penguin. Bridger ran back and forth outside the penguin exhibit and the penguin chased him by swimming back and forth. I have never seen anything like it but it has happened twice with Bridger.

Bridger and Lilly love chasing birds. They went after these geese. Bridger was caught off guard by a goose that pecked at his leg. It scared him to death and gave me a good laugh. Serves him right.
I got a good laugh from this sign that was posted outside the bounce house. Loss of limbs and appendages seems extreme as does hypothermia! But there was oddly no sign next to the lions and tigers that we were only about four feet from.
Toward the end of the evening, around feeding time, we went near the female lions. Lilly was running around and we noticed the lion crouching down watching Lilly and then it charged and jumped on the fence trying to get her. It startled us at first but then Lilly had a fun time teasing the lion. We laughed a bit but it was a little disturbing that the lion wanted to eat my daughter. Glad the fence held.
