Happy Birthday Sunshine!

This little beauty has blessed my life for four years now.  I cannot imagine my life without her!  She is my sunshine and I love her beyond words.

She wanted a Sleeping Beauty party but apparently Sleeping Beauty is not a popular princess; I couldn't find anything!  So Lilly agreed to a princess party instead.  She wanted a castle cake.  Without spending a fortune and my entire month putting it together, this is the best I could come up with.  She was thrilled and that's all that matters.
My attempt at a castle cake.

So excited for the present Bridger got her. A Barbie bath toy.  He saw it and KNEW she had to have it.  I tried to convince him of a few other options...he knows her better than me.

Happy Halloween 2012

He wants nothing more than to be a Navy Seal and to take out all the bad guys.
Lilly came up with the idea to be a Tooth Fairy about 7 months ago.  I could not convince her otherwise!

Accomplishments

A few accomplishments in the Doman household.

Bridger finished another Cougar Run at his school.  No illness or leg injuries this year so it was a success.
Derek actually made it to one of his Cougar Runs.  He is always traveling during them.  Derek ran a few laps with him.

Lilly Learned to Hula Hoop (sort of)

We actually heard most of General Conference!  Huge accomplishment.
Part of the reason we made it through conference.

I had another successful craft bazaar.  My friend and I started the bazaar last year.  We have a lot of fun with it.

First Day of School

First day of school for both of my kids was a great success! Second day not so much but let's stay positive.

I guess preschool wore Lilly out (or she had TV withdrawals) because as soon as she got home she grabbed my iphone and started watching her favorite show.

When I asked her how her days was, this is what I got....
She has her dad's weird thumb that bends back really far.
Still couldn't be bothered
and finally after much begging, I got this

Lilly has wanted a fish for awhile now and because she is a "big girl" going to school she got one.  She is in love.  She named her fish Goldie.  She didn't leave Goldie's side for about two days.  She still shows her to all of our guests.

Redmond, OR

We ended Summer in the best possible way,  a boating trip with good friends!  We stayed in a condo at Eagle Crest Resort in Redmond, OR.  We have gone their every year for the past 5 years and we love it.  They have so much to do: several pools, tennis, exercise rooms, raquetball, wallball, game room, bike rentals, golf, splashpads, spa, yoga, zumba, lawn games, wildlife everywhere....the list goes on.

Our friends the Greens brought their boat which only added to the list of activities and my desire for my own boat.  My family loves the water!

Since I am still playing catch-up, that is as much as I will write.  It was a great trip!

Bridger, Lilly and Carter

Just trying on the helmet for fun.  She wouldn't go on a ride.
These two really bonded!

My sweet friend Nicole!
The kids were feeding a deer off our back deck.  There is always deer, rabbits and geese everywhere you look.

Mighty Pirates
Bridger trying out the knee board.
Lilly thought she owned the place!  She learned all the hand signals, how to pull people in and basically ran the whole event.

Look at those long legs!
Showing off the caterpillar she found while we waited for everyone to hike the lava tubes.
Me and my favorite girl.

I took Lilly to an antique store and I was the one asking when we could leave.  She loved it!
