Our Trip to Utah 2008

This summer has been really busy. June was a really busy month. We had our good friends from Utah (Messerly's and Stuart'S) come up to our house to visit. We rented a beach house and got to enjoy the Beautiful Oregon coast.

The day after our friends left, we went to Utah. We had a busy schedule with my grandparents 85th birthday party (they were born three days apart), Derek's family reunion, and Maridee and Wayne were sealed in the temple. We did all that within 3 days of arriving to Utah. Luckily we were staying for two weeks so we had a bit of down time. I got more down time than I bargained for because Bridger was very sick for 7 days of that.

We did get some family time in while we were there. We spent some time at one of Derek's favorite places- Powder Mountain. What a beautiful place! We rode the ski lift to the top of the mountain and got some breath taking views of the valley.

Bridger's New bike

After MANY months of begging dad for a bike, I had to buy Bridger one. Bridger has always loved riding his tricycle. But after watching the Tour de France with Derek, he was very interested in "race biking". Bridger would drag Derek outside and they would race back and forth down the street. Bridger's legs would be pedaling his tricylce as fast as he possibly could and Derek would be riding as slow as he possibly could without falling over. Bridger decided a bike with three wheels would not work for racing and he needed a bike like his dad's. He was soooo excited to finally get one.
