Derek turns the big 4-0
HAPPY BIRTHDAY DEREK!
It's hard to believe I am married to a 40 year old. I remember when my parents turned 40 and I thought they were going to die any day. I've grown up and my perspective has changed. 40 is the new 30, right?
I pulled off a big surprise party for Derek. He wasn't expecting much since I was so busy with RS and craft fair's. So I thought it was a perfect year to plan a surprise. He should have known better than to doubt me!
The night wouldn't be complete without gag gifts. This is only one of the gifts that his friends brought. But Derek was a good sport and even tried them on.
My little business venture
Lilly is 3 years old!!
The only thing Lilly wanted for her birthday was cake. After opening her presents all she could say was, "Where's my cake?" Knowing that that was what she wanted, I spent a little more time than normal to make the cake special. That was more for me than Lilly. She would have been happy with a basic cake. She was pretty excited though when she saw Hello Kitty.
I have thoroughly enjoyed having Lilly as my little girl. She is the sweetest person I know. I love being her "best friend". I love you Lilly!

We love Fall in Oregon!
There is always something fun to do in the Fall here in Oregon. Some of our favorites include Bauman Farms, Heritage Farm, Fall Festival at the Rec center, and Halloween dinner with friends.
Nothing makes Lilly smile more than cookies, cake and candy.
My friend, Amanda, had a hair booth at the fair festival. This is Lilly getting some hair tinsel and Bridger had his hair colored.
The Nut House at Bauman's Farm.
Grandma Barb and Bridger on the swings.
Strike a pose!
Lilly as a pirate princess and Bridger as a vampire.

Family Pics
While in Utah, I had a friend take our family pictures. Family pics are never fun but we had an especially bad time. We were traveling and tired. We had just come from 60 degree's to 100 degree heat. Lilly had been throwing up the night before. Most of us were holding up OK, but Lilly....she was CRANKY. She did everything she could not to cooperate. She scowled at the photographer, turned from the camera, refused to smile and in the end threw tantrums. One of the pics was her leaning against the wall pouting; she looks completely posed and I love the picture. Bridger is in goofy smile phase but he was such a good sport. Some how through it all we got a few good shots.
