Heart Surgery

I am now trying to play catchup on the last several months.  It has been crazy around here!  I had heart surgery to correct the problem that almost took my life in January.  So happy that is all in the past.
I am posting the next pictures, not because I want to show how HOT I look after surgery but because I am amazed that they did heart surgery for 6 hours on me and I was up and around right after.  (well after I lay completely still for several hours, but I was asleep for a good part of that).
About 10 years ago this would have required open heart surgery.  They are now able to go through your veins so it is minimally invasive.  I had three puncture wounds- two in my legs and one in my neck.  They hurt no more than getting an IV.  Speaking of an IV....most of my pain and discomfort came from the hack-job IV I got.  See below.  The pictures don't do it justice, my arm was swollen and filled with blood for days and it hurt!

After a few days of minor chest pain and fatigue, I was up and running.  Thank heavens for modern medicine!!
